04/30/03 - Metallica is filming the video for St. Anger at San Quentin
prison, and then playing a gig for the inmates. See www.metallica.com

04/16/03 - St. Anger cover art and logo released. The cover will

02/09/03 - Nothing big going on, but i did obtain a full copy
of the Raider's show from 1-19-03! go to www.metpage.com and down it
off a server (i uploaded it).
02/05/03 - Big update with big news today! First off, Metallica's new
album, entitled "St. Anger", will be released June 10th. Along with
that, Metallica will be having a Summer Sanitarium 2003 tour, with the line
up of Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, and The Deftones.
update: tickets are on sale, most dates set.
11/04/02- Not much going on, other than recording and studio stuff. Check out the studio site for more info.
10/04/02- Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Only
news pretty much is to check out the Jump in the Studio site cuz it
has new pictures and a four part video Q&A to watch.
09/13/02- A new video is up the In The Studio site.
Its from the day the kids from Make a Wish foundation were there,
and it include two clips of new songs, which can be downloaded
here.
09/10/02- Live Shit on DVD to be released Nov 12 for $59.99. It will
include 2 DVD discs for the video shows, and the 3 audio discs for
Mexico City. The Stencil and Pass will be included to, and the book
will be on one of the DVDs.
09/05/02- Lars and Bob stop by the Metclub chatroom.
09/04/02- Kirk was stabbed by his surfboard in the armpit resulting
in six stitches. He was going to be out for 2 weeks, but is not back
and playing guitar.
08/27/02- Jason Newstead leave his band Echobrain.
He is not interested in re-joining Metallica.
08/24/02- Third video up already! pretty much just Lar babbling.
08/22/02- Second studio video released. Jokes about new album title
and cover.
08/12/02- Lars stops by in the "Killing Time" chat room,
part of the Metallica - In The Studio site.
08/08/02- Metallica has selected the Ramone's song "53rd &
3rd" to appear on the upcoming Ramones tribute album.

08/03/02- Happy Birthday to James Hetfield. He turns 39.

07/20/02- Toy manufacturer SMIT is making a Metallica PVC statue of

06/19/02- Swizz Beatz, the album with the Ja Rule/Metallica
song "We Did It Again", is to be released July 16.
06/19/02-James Hetfield will play guitar on a remix of country singer
Carolyn Dawn Johnson's single, "So Complicated"
06/04/02- Metallica (with
Bob Rock on bass) played a gig at Club Kimo's in San Francisco. They
listed themselves as "SPUN", so no one knew. The setlist
consisted of: 4 Ramones songs, then Hit the Lights, Leper Messiah,
No Remorse, For Whom The Bell Tolls, A NEW song, I disappear, then
ended with Die Die My Darling.

Party to be on July 6, 2002. 110 winners were choose. 10 of them wil
let an all expense paid trip to SF and a tour with Metallica, the
other 100 get to go to the launch party.

is a sort of joke band.
